inside message
Someday soon you will emerge from this time of grief. You will see that the universe did not cease to support you as you nursed your broken heart. You will emerge on the other side of the sadness and pain feeling stronger for all that you have experienced. |

It brings me comfort to call this sort of thing a change rather than an end. The word "end" is so final. I believe that we are all connected. So, no one ever leaves our lives. And no one ever meets us for the first time. I like to think that we are all one and that we fade in and out of attention as if we are directed toward different parts of ourselves. But nothing real can ever vanish and nothing unreal can ever exist. Life is just a flowing river that may evaporate into a cloud and then reunite with the river when the rain falls. Like water, love appears so passive but both are the strongest forces in our universe. You are not alone. Even the love that appears lost is in our presence and still with you today. |

inside message
Loss becomes a physical emptiness and longing. It's a feeling that cannot be put into words. Often the pain that wounds us most deeply also leaves the most enduring mark upon us. The shock that becomes the tender, throbbing ache of the heart can eventually lead us to a new path of enlightenment. Your loss is felt by many.

Losing someone this special is heartbreaking. It is hard to understand why a spirit so extraordinary would be taken from our world. The reality of impermanence and our powerlessness over the ones we love being with us each day when we awake can bring many difficult emotions. Comfort is hard to find, but compassion for the pain can help. Please accept the compassion that is being sent along with this card.

inside message
Memories may trigger pain but they are sacred, and they are yours. Don't shy away from memories and photographs. Only you can choose how to use your precious memories to eventually heal your broken heart. You are the creator of your feelings. You can return to happiness whenever you feel ready. Until then, please find peace and solace in your grieving. You are not alone. |

Losing someone this close will likely take you into the winter of your emotions. Just as the tree appears to have no signs of life in the winter; below the ground where eyes cannot see, the tree's roots hold life. Once the warmth of spring arrives, the tree that appeared lifeless buds and blooms with new life. Now is the time to nourish your roots. Spring will come and your happiness will return. You are never alone.
